From his roots in R.S.Pura, Jammu and Kashmir, Rakesh Kumar's journey in art has been nothing short of remarkable. Self-taught and driven by a fervent passion, he has garnered numerous accolades, ranging from winning the "100 Days Painting Challenge 2019" to being acknowledged by illustrious record books such as the "Universal Achievers Book of Records" and "Indian Book of Records". One of his standout achievements includes creating over 50 paintings within a mere span of 48 hours, a feat recognized globally by the U.S Art Gallery. His persistent pursuit of excellence in art has also led him to be a recipient of esteemed awards like the "Excellence Award 2021 (International Kalaratnam Award India)" and the "Renaissance Award 2021".
